4th BRAZILIAN MEETING ON FAMILY AND GENDER ECONOMICS

The meeting will be held in person on August 16-18, 2023 at the Department of Economics of the University of São Paulo. 

The objective of the 4th Brazilian Meeting on Family and Gender Economics is to unite researchers, public policymakers, students, and those with a general interest in family and gender topics, to engage in discussions and gain knowledge about ongoing research in Brazil and other countries.

Extended Deadline: Submissions can be made online until April 16th (11:59 pm (UTC-3)).

 

Notification of acceptance is expected by May 31st.

 

Guidelines for submission:

 

1. We will accept papers that address Family and Gender Economics themes, such as: household models, marriage and divorce, household time allocation, labor market and gender, domestic violence, gender gaps, income, gender and race inequalities, household decisions (labor supply, consumption, savings, health, and fertility, parenting, etc.), demographic economics, women-led firms, female entrepreneurship, care economy, social norms, among others;

2. Each presenter will also serve as a discussant;

3. Each paper must be registered using the online form available on this page. Papers should be submitted in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, either in Portuguese or English and can be any length.

4. Submissions of abstracts (extended or not) will not be accepted.

5. We will only allow one submission per author. However, there are no restrictions on the participation of authors in more than one paper as co-author.

6. There is no submission fee.

7. All presentations will be in person; you can choose between a poster or an oral presentation (English or Portuguese).
