Ana Abras is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Universidade Federal do ABC in Brazil. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland College Park. Her areas of interest are Labor Economics, Economics of Banking, and Feminist Economics. Before joining UFABC, she worked at the World Bank and the Brazilian Minister of Finance. She is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Program for Gender Analysis in Economics at American University, Washington DC.
